With this weather, I don't think we should show up at 10:00. Make it just before 10:30.

I would rather have less warmup time and somewhat dryer/warmer players.

Tonight - PRACTICE REGULAR TIME

The park district message about fields is still on Thursday, but I have to assume that the field is open.

The "Future Crusaders" flag teams have rescheduled their event to next Friday evening. So it is practice as usual at Gilbert from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

The temperatures are expected to go into the upper 30s by practice time, so please have the boys dress appropriately. I am not concerned about them while we are working them, but sweat gets very cold when you stop for a while. And we talk more on Friday's than the other practice days.

Practice Cancelled for Tonight

The park district has closed the fields for tonight due to the wet conditions. And the school hall is not available for our use tonight.

We will have a shortened session tomorrow due to the Flag Football event at Gilbert. Practice tomorrow will be from 5:00 to 6:30.

Please watch your email tomorrow as that may change to Doerhoeffer again if the Panther coach is amenable to us using part of the field.

Until then, PLEASE log your son into the Hudl.com (refer to Chuck's email) site to watch our game films from the last 5 weeks. Coach Dietrich gave them all homework to complete around watching that film.

Friday Night Lights @ Doerhoeffer

Regular practice time at Doerhoeffer Park tomorrow night (Friday). Boys to arrive at 5:50.

We will scrimmage a Panther 5th grade team from 6:30 to 7:30 and then finish our practice a little bit before 8:00. Thanks for arranging this Henry.

In-School Practice Schedule Now In Use

Reminder:

We are now in the In-School practice schedule meaning we practice 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Gilbert Park on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday each week.

Please make sure the athletes are at the part no later than 5:50 on practice nights.

Bugs and Water

Please remember that the players should continue to hydrate throughout the day, drinking at practice is not enough. Also, I have heard stories of the mosquitoes at the park so a little bug repellent may be helpful.

Can't wait to get started and into pads.

Welcome School Families and especially Crusader Football Fans!

You can subscribe to this blog, or you can visit it through the school website. Either way, here goes!

Our regular season kicks off on Monday August 8 at Gilbert Park. 6:00 to 8:00 pm every weeknight until school starts. After school starts, we will be there only on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Here is our game schedule for the year 2011.

B games will be played on 9/4, 9/25, 10/2, and 10/9. I am also looking to add a B game against The Celtics from Lemont.
